Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.
(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps:
His day is marching on.
Chorus
His day is marching on.
I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall deal;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with His heel,
Since God is marching on."
Chorus
Since God is marching on.
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat:
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.
Chorus
Our God is marching on.
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.
Chorus
While God is marching on.
He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is Wisdom to the mighty, He is Succour to the brave,
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of Time His slave,
Our God is marching on.
Chorus
Our God is marching on.
A Passion for Truth. My Passion for Truth has led me to explain my unapologetic love of the Simon Potter character in Og Mandino's books. In point of fact, it is the character of Simon that I so admire. The other one that I love and admire is Brother Lawrence. But I love Jesus, the "name that is above every name", above all others.

A Common Prayer for American Patriots
FATHER...
In peace we pray for all people.
We pray --
- for our family,
- for our friends,
- for our brothers and sisters in Christ,
- for those not known to us who are lonely, who suffer illness or other adversity,
- and for those who remain in our hearts.
We pray --
- for our nation,
- for our president and national leaders, that they would seek You for wisdom, that You would protect them from the lure of greed and power and enable them to promote an agenda that is honoring to You as they govern our country.
We pray --
- for all those who stand in harm's way defending our liberty, that You would protect them and give them comfort in times of hardship, and assist them in defeating the enemy and bringing order to the world,
- for their families, that You would give them peace and stability as they await the return of their loved ones.
We pray --
- for .... (other petitions),
We pray for the knowledge of love, the wisdom of truth and the stewardship of all creation.
We pray in the name of Christ Emanuel.
AMEN

The Ever Encroaching Islamic Jihadists
There is an article in the Middle East Times that is illustrative of how far we have capitulated to the Islamic Jihadists. There was a time when this nation had a backbone. This is a sad day for the United States of America. May the Lord have mercy on us.
Score one for the Muslim Brotherhood
By CLARE M. LOPEZ (Middle East Times)Published: April 28, 2008
SPECIAL REPORT: The Bush administration has decided that calling the enemy by his name is too risky, too politically incorrect, or oddly, somehow too laudatory.
And so, henceforth federal agencies of the United States government are to refrain from identifying the Islamic jihad with words that in any way convey genuine understanding about the links between terrorism and religion in the war that has been launched against Western liberal democratic civilization.
The U.S. government seems to think that declaring such links don't exist will make it so. Score one for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Rep. Sue Myrick (R-NC) Ten Point "Wake Up America" Agenda
For me this is very exciting news to know that someone in Congress is not absolutely brain dead. I look at a lot of news on the internet and this is the first time that I've seen someone taking action on the encroachment of radical Islam and our "friends" the Saudi Arabians. The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, Chaired by Michael Cromartie who happens to be a Covenant College graduate, placed Saudi Arabia on the "Countries of Particular Concern" list beginning in 2003.
Please also read the report on Saudi Arabia dated May 2003
Rep. Myrick Unveils “Wake Up America” Agenda
(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Rep. Sue Myrick (NC-9) released her “Wake Up America” agenda. Rep. Myrick’s goal in releasing her agenda is to alert, and educate, Americans to terrorist threats here at home posed by radical Islamic extremists. This is her agenda, this is not the agenda of the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus.
This agenda is the start of Rep. Myrick’s work on these issues. As she moves forward on these points, she will update the public on her findings.
Her ten point agenda is below. There is also a link at the bottom to provide in-depth background information on all these points so that the public has a more clear understanding of the agenda items.

Conquer Racism in Just Ten Years
By Harry R. Jackson, Jr.
Bishop Harry Jackson is chairman of the High Impact Leadership Coalition and senior pastor of Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, MD, and co-authored, Personal Faith, Public Policy [FrontLine; March 2008] with Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council.
Last week I was privileged to be interviewed on a Christian television program by Rev. Bernice King, the only living daughter of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. She was greatly encouraged that over 400 pastors and thousands of lay Christians had signed a document called the “Reconciliation Referendum.” We strongly believe that the Church can be desegregated in the next decade. This will be an amazing step in healing the racial divide in the entire nation. We believe that the Church is the only agency that can solve the race problem in America.
The following is an excerpt from that referendum:
“In recent weeks, there has been a national debate about the appropriateness of sermons preached by Dr. Jeremiah Wright from the pulpit of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. While politicians like Barack Obama and the national media wring their hands over a problem that has persisted in this country for nearly 400 years, they offer no solutions to the problem.
“The tragedy of this most recent revelation of America’s racial divide is that incendiary remarks by Rev. Wright were delivered in a church, at the pulpit, by a pastor of a Christian church. If there is one institution that can heal the racial wounds of American it is the Church. However, this latest incident underscores the lack of progress and the urgent need for a deliberate and coordinated effort among Christian pastors and spiritual leaders in America to lead the nation in racial reconciliation.
“The failure of good Christian people to provide a clear and convincing example of racial unity within the Church has contributed to the divide between the races in the nation and it only appears to be widening.

Could The Apostasy Be Upon Us?
Steve Gallagher - Guest Columnist - 4/11/2008 7:30:00 AM
Although he is better known for his role on The Love Boat, Gavin MacLeod cited his supporting performance in the 2003 film Time Changer as "the most important thing" he had ever done. It's hard to disagree with him.
The storyline occurs in 1890 and revolves around Bible professor Russell Carlisle, who is unwittingly transported by a time machine into modern-day America. For five days, he finds himself trapped in a wicked world to which you and I have become shamefully accustomed.
In his day, the term "Gay Nineties" referred to the nation's innocence, not to the filthy and lewd behavior reflected in our past decade. Men married their wives for life, with divorce rates hovering around a microscopic five percent. Teenage promiscuity, marital infidelity and abortion were almost nonexistent. Pornography -- even if you could find it -- was typically an artist's rendering of a topless woman.
